The Alliance Française of Hyderabad takes pride in the fact that “Surabhi” theatre troupe travelled to France in May 2013 to perform 3 plays of their repertoire, Maya Bazaar, Bhakta Prahlada and Sri Krishna Leelalu, and won accolades at the Passages International Theatre Festival in Metz and in Paris.
They made waves in the French press. Their performance was watched and acclaimed by French Minister of Culture, Mrs. Aurélie Filipetti.
Alliance Française is organising a felicitation programme for the troupe to welcome them back to Hyderabad, along with Mrs Neeta Jain Duhaut, who coordinated the project and led the troupe to France. She is also making a documentary film on Surabhi for French television.
