What if we told you that you will get to experience world class short films in Virtual Reality without having to spend a dime, right at Hyderabad! Yes, you read it right! François Serre, the « Courant3D » Festival Director, will be at Alliance Française of Hyderabad for 3 sessions during his VR Experience Tour in India. After immensely successful stints at Bangalore and Ahmedabad, François Serre brings the VR Experience to the doorstep of Hyderabadis. This has come as a boon to us Hyderabadis, who take great pride in our love for movies and technology.
The tour is open at Alliance Française of Hyderabad Auditorium on the following days:
1. 27 Nov : 3-6pm
2. 28 Nov : 2-5pm
3. 29 Nov : 10am-1pm
The event is open and free for all but will have limited seats on first-come-first-served basis and divided into 30 min slots.
This tour is part of the <de>confine Digital November Festival of South Asia which is a joint project of the French Embassies, French Institutes, Alliances Françaises and Media Art South Asia.

François Serre the ‘Real’ Man behind the ‘Virtual Reality’
François Serre is the « Courant3D » Festival film Director and “New Technologies / New storytelling” curator for different festivals (the Clermont Ferrand international short film festival, the Berlin Interfilm festival etc.). Specialised teacher in new media and short films and a documentary film director, François Serre holds a master’s degree in signal processing, another in documentary directing and yet another in sociology. He is the sound teacher in « BTS Audiovisuel » at Lycée de L’image et du Son d’Angoulême (LISA). On a regular basis, François Serre carries out training missions in cinema schools in the United States, Africa and Asia.

On 29th November, hosted by Alliance Française of Hyderabad, the movers and shakers of Hyderabad Animation scene met up with François Serre, Director of Courant3d n discussed possible avenues of cooperation n collaboration. Joining François Serre and AF Hyderabad, in attendance, Green Gold Animation Pvt. Ltd., Scan 360, Northstar Entertainment, French Institute in India, AF Ahmedabad, Media Art South Asia and Govt. of Telangana representatives.
