As a part of the second edition of National Wall Art Festival of French network in India, Alliance Française of Hyderabad in collaboration with IIIT Hyderabad welcomed two French artist from Reunion islands __ KID KREOL and BOOGIE to paint the iconic Himalayan block spiral staircase with 24 beautiful colours. This event forms a part of 25th anniversary celebration of IIIT Hyderabad. The theme of the art centred around the age-old geographical connection between the Reunion islands and India through Indian Ocean. A big achievement to AFH for curating the art festival in a technologically centred university IIIT.
The wall art was inaugurated by Shri Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of IT and Industries, Government of Telangana, and President of Alliance Française of Hyderabad along with the Guest of Honor Shri Prshant Lahoti, owner of Kalakriti Art Gallery and recipient of the award ‘Chevalier dans I’Ordre Des Arts et des Lettres’ from the French Government for his contribution to the field of Art; Well-known artist Mrs Anjani Reddy, and Isabelle Collin, Co-CEO of Denisco and wife of Honorary Consul of France in Hyderabad.
