Aruna Chandaraju is an independent journalist and photographer based in Hyderabad. She writes for leading Indian publications like The Hindu, Deccan Herald, The Week, National Geographic Traveller India, Mint, etc. She also contributes images to the above publications. Besides, her photographs have been included in several group shows.
She has visited 30 countries across the world, some of them several times each. These include eight countries in Europe: Poland, Austria, Spain, Belgium, UK, Ireland, and Switzerland. She has written articles on these destinations which have been published along with photographs shot by her.
She writes on travel, art and culture, and lifestyle issues. She has been trained in Indian classical music and dance. She is also a translator and has translated children’s books for well-known publishers.
