INTERNATIONAL WOMEN PHOTOGRAPHERS AWARDS (IWPA)

International Women Photographers Award – Edition 2018

The goal of International Women Photographers Association is to promote women photographers around the world, to act as a global platform and to increase their visibility. In accordance with this mission, the IWPA prize offers an itinerant exhibition that travels to major cities and capital across the Middle East, Europe and Asia in order to show the laureate & finalists work to a large and international audience. The exhibition is inaugurated on March 8, to coincide with the International Women’s Day.

The force of women’s creativity is recognised worldwide and gaining increasing influence in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) countries. To further promote expression, encourage fresh talent and create awareness in this part of the world, Dubai, Beirut and Chittagong have been chosen to host this photography award, with Dubai being chosen for the second time, for the 2018 first openings.

The IWPA exhibition presents a selection of photographs taken from each photographer’s series. The participants could choose between either the “free theme” or the IWPA theme 2018 “Visible/Invisible”. The diversity, the richness and the quality of their works speaks for itself.
