French trip hop/ hip hop music of today
His first album, “ Tales of the Forgotten Melodies” in 2005 had a mix of hip-hop, Down tempo, trip-hop with samples extracted from movies. This album became one of the best selling electronic releases of the year. The second album “Hope and Sorrow” released in April 2007. It was nominated for the French “Victoires de la Musique” and US Indie music award.
Having a background as a radio host in the French radio in the suburbs of Paris, Jean-Christophe Le Saoût, alias Wax Tailor had always been into music. His work on Wax Tailor project began in 2001 with the remix of Looptroop ,a Swedish hip hop group.
His third album, “In The Mood For Life“, was released on September 22, 2009.
Charlotte Savary, Speech Defect, Sara Genn, Mattic, Voice Ali Harter,ASM and Charlie Winston have worked with him for his latest album.
