The film discusses the problems of the people of Nalgonda district, , a dry region of Telangana, where the ground water containing an excess of flouride has resulted in flourosis – a dreadful deformation of bones. This short documentary poignantly depicts the situation of the people, who till date are waiting for the fresh water from Krishna River, which passes through this district, but whose water is more utilized in toilets by the Hyderabadis.

A Green Agony
by Geeta Singh
The biodiversity-rich Sunderbans – the largest mangroves in Asia, home to the Royal Bengal Tiger- is reeling under the impacts of Global Warming ,as slowly but steadily, islands dotting the river mouths in the gangetic Delta are disapearing under the sea. While the Royal Bengal Tiger has to adjust to drinking saline water, with an ever increasing sea ingress into the land, the people of Sunderbans are environmental refugees in their homeland. Beautifully shot, with the sonorous voice over by actor Roshan seth, Green Agony shows us the future that is not far off for the rest of the country.
