Translation and Interpreting

About the service of translation of the Alliance Française
The Alliance Française of Hyderabad (AFH) offers a Translation cell. The translators of the AFH are qualified with specialized diplomas in translation and are well-experienced in this field. All translated documents will be checked and signed by the Director (if the translation is into French) or by a specialized Indian Professor (if the translation is into English).

This translation cell offers the following services in two languages (English and French):

• translation of official documents, of certificates
• translation of mark sheets
• translation of commercial, legal or technical documents

Procedure:
Please submit your document at Mrs Sujatha ( library) (an original or an attested copy) and a photocopy of the document.
An advance of 40% is to be deposited with the documents to be translated.
Translation will be done at the indicated time and date.

Important Request
In order to provide better services, the AFH requests the users of the Cell to hand over some literature pertaining to the concerned domain. 

Cost

 A reduced tariff is possible in the following cases:

•   10% less if the document exceeds 20 pages
•   20% less if the document exceeds 40 pages

Costs

• In case an urgent translation is required, the following rule applies: double the rate if the translation is required in half the normal time taken for translation.
• All the members of the AFH will be entitled to a reduction of 20%.

Schedule

A simple document requires about two days for translation, and for the other documents the time required may vary depending on the number of pages. For further information, please contact the reception.

Note :

• The AFH will not certify documents which have been translated by translators not from the AFH.
• The translated documents will be returned to the customer with the mention 'Traduction certifiée exacte (to the best of the knowledge of the AFH).'
