About BEYOND IMAGES / AU DELÀ DES IMAGES – English poems of Elizabeth Kurian ‘Mona’, translated into French by Supratik Sen, and the book cover design and illustrations on allthe poetry pages by SushilThapa.

The poet: Elizabeth Kurian ‘Mona’ of Hyderabad, India, is a multilingual poet who writes / translates in English, Urdu, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Marathi. She has ten books including translations to her credit. She is a recipient of several awards for her poetry, including two from Urdu Academies at Lucknow and Hyderabad , the latest one being the Rabindranath Tagore Award 2017-International fromwww.xpresscommunications.com for English Poetry.
She is associated with a number of literary groups and is the Secretary of the multilingual poetry group Sahitya Sangam International, Hyderabad. Mona took early retirement as Manager from the Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai to devote her time totally to her literary pursuits.

The translator: Supratik Sen from Kolkota, India, has an experience of over 25 years as a corporate trainer and translator. He has trained more than 5000 professionals in French and has piloted more than 50 French-based projects.
He is a fulltime writer now with four books to his credit, one an anthology and three translations of poetry from English to French. With over 800 of his poems posted on his blog (Expressions, supratiksen.blogspot.in), he writes mainly in English, as also in French and Bengali on Metanoia (changing the mindset) and also a busy translator in these languages.
He is currently the Editor of Your Space, Muse India, a UGC approved e-journal.

The artist: Sushil Thapa of Kathmandu, Nepal, is a renowned self-taught Nepali artist. He uses different mediums including oil and acrylic, but his favourite is pen and ink..His artworks have appeared in national and international publications, calendars and exhibitions including one at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
He was attached to the Centre for victims of Torture (CVICT), Kathmandu for thirteen years and through his artwork, he has been supporting several Human Rights campaigns. Sushil is presently a free-lance artist and illustrator for a publication house.
